Karah one of my favorite Indian child hood puddings of all time!
Soo easy to make!
Ingredients –
1 Cup of Butter 1/2lb
1 Cup of Whole Grain flour
3 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
Method –
1. Get a small saucepan and pour the water and the sugar into it, give it a mix and leave on high heat and leave to boil.
2. In a different saucepan add the butter and stir until it melts.
3. Once all the butter has melted, add all the Whole Grain flour and keep mixing until it becomes a thick pudding, a complete change you will notice it.
4. Once it has all came together slowly add the boiled sugary water and keep stirring until all of the water has mixed in and it should be a thick pudding.
Wait until the Karah cools down as it can be really hot!
Serve!
I hope you try this recipe at home, I would really appreciate the feedback and pictures from your Karah.
If you want to try something different I recommend you add almonds into this – Boil and peel. Even add some sultaners into this.
